Technology Certificate Program
The Technology Certificate Program is a series of classes designed to provide faculty members with a comprehensive set of skills, strategies, and the confidence for using technology in the classroom. Both full-time and part-time faculty are eligible for this program. The goal for the Technology Certificate Program is to offer a broad set of skills for faculty, as well as a system for the University to recognize faculty committed to improving their skills in this realm. Certificate Requirements: Successful completion of 4 workshops within one academic year.

Specific workshop topics will be posted soon, however below is a list of possible topics:
- Moodle: Creating Engaging Activities - This session will focus on more interactive activities including creating wikis, WebQuests, surveys, glossaries, audio assignments and more.
- PowerPoint Alternatives: Creating Engaging Presentations - PowerPoint is often the default presentation tool for many faculty and students. This session will explore alternatives technology tools to create more engaging presentations.
- Technology and Classroom Management: How Do They Go Together? - This session will focus on the benefits and challenges of having laptops in the classroom. Teaching strategies, classroom management techniques and faculty experience will be shared.
- Mahara ePortfolio - This session will be an introduction to using the Mahara ePortfolio system.
- Digital Storytelling - This session will focus on aspects of digital storytelling including planning and presentation.
